# Aeternum VTT

> A browser-based virtual tabletop for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. Character
> sheets that compute their own numbers, dice that roll from the sheet, and a 3D
> map where an uploaded battlemap is the ground plane and OBJ, STL, or GLB
> models are the tokens and props.

Aeternum VTT is in early access. Free accounts are open, and Plus and Pro are
paid upgrades. Free has the full web toolkit with limits on campaigns, scenes,
storage, and seats. Plus and Pro raise those limits and add a phone companion
for HP, scores, and dice during a live session. Campaign content (maps,
characters, sessions) stays private to each table. Your plan is the same whether
you run the game or play in it.

## What it does

- Character sheets that compute stats, with dice that roll from the sheet
- 3D maps: an uploaded image as the ground plane, OBJ, STL, or GLB models as tokens and props
- Both the 2014 and 2024 D&D 5th Edition rule sets, chosen per campaign
- A hub that separates campaigns you run from campaigns you play
- Email invites for players and co-GMs, plus a journal, handouts, encounters, and live session tools
- SRD rules content for new campaigns (not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast)

## What it doesn't do

- No self-hosted version
- No full mobile board (the phone companion covers HP, scores, and dice)
- No game systems other than D&D 5th Edition
